Thank you for taking the time to visit my site! It is my hope that the information found on this site will shed some light and knowledge on the pressing issue: Better health and prevention of disease.
I would like to give a brief background on how I was introduced to reflexology and the quest for better health. I came across the contact information of a well known Polish reflexologist in my grandmother's address book after she had passed away. Not knowing anything about reflexology, the curiosity of finding out was enough to entice me to book an appointment.
My grandmother was an inquisitive, forward-thinker, open to new ideas if they seemed logical and definitely not scared to ask questions. She often surprised me how advanced her mentality and rational was given her age. I knew that she must have researched and believed in reflexology if she had taken the time to add this information to her contact list. I was excited to find out how this type of treatment would help me, as I believe that human contact and touch is therapeutic in itself.
After the first treatment, I was shocked, mesmerized, amazed, taken back... I couldn't believe the information and knowledge the reflexologist was able to provide about my health just by looking at my feet and performing her treatment. She provided many simple solutions and remedies for my aches and pains and addressed the areas of concern (as there were many) with knowledge and a true sense of concern. Her wisdom and familiarity with the human body was outstanding. A practitioner had never explained the functions and dysfunctions, in my case, of my bodily systems with such detail and logic. Since I had not given any information about my health prior or during the appointment, I was amazed at how much information was available by touching, looking and working on the feet.
This raised many questions for me and since I usually question most things that seem too good to be true, here are a few:
I decided to research the topic a little further. I often compare this discovery to uncovering a part of nature that has been hidden, and those who devote enough time and patience to discovering its beauty, will benefit a new life.
I am now a certified reflexologist (Polski Instytut Refleksologii and the International Institute of Reflexology). I gained my training and knowledge from the reflexologist I mentioned above, Wanda Bratko. She is my source of inspiration, energy and motivation.
Since visiting her office for the first time in 2004, I have decided to dedicate my life to helping others find better health through reflexology. I hope to touch as many lives as possible in order to give back the gift that I was granted.
Yours in good health,
